Project Description

The Adamson Dura-Mite Water Heater is a semi-instantaneous high recovery unit. It uses a demand monitor to eliminate temperature fluctuations upon varying demands.

The demand monitor allows more efficient control by measuring the varying water flows and sensing temperature changes, permitting the control valve to respond with minimum time lag.

The storage section of the Dura-Mite is constantly recirculated by an integral circulator. The cold water enters the unit in the neck. It is circulated through the baffled U-tube bundle, then drawn to the bottom of the unit by the circulator and put back in the unit at the neck near the cold water inlet. With the cold water and recirculated water entering at the same location, mixing is accomplished, thus eliminating any cold shots from the hot water outlet.
