  Since
1921 Adamson Storage Water Heaters have provided excellent, trouble free
service in installations throughout the country. Adamson Storage Water Heaters
offer many advantages for the heating of domestic water:
- Water is heated and stored during periods of low demand thereby providing
an adequate supply of hot water during periods of maximum demand. Since
the water heating cycle is extended, economy of boiler operation results.
- Storage capacity and heating capacity can be varied to reduce the
water heating load on the boiler.
- Flexibility of design to meet specific job requirements is provided
by the unlimited combinations of standard storage tanks and heating
elements available.
- Storage heaters can utilize steam, boiler water, condensate, or electricity
as the heating medium - or a combination of these heating media when
desired.
- One compact efficient unit, the product of one manufacturer, accomplishes
the heating and the storage of domestic water with corresponding savings
in piping, floor space, and installation costs. Adamson Storage Water
Heaters can be provided for horizontal or vertical installation.

| Heating
Element Construction |
Each
Adamson heating element is fabricated of seamless U-tubes, mechanically
expanded into a tube sheet. The tubes are held in alignment by a common
spacer plate. A support, welded to the tank shell, is provided for heating
elements 42" in length and longer.

Water Heaters |
A
line of Adamson Global Technology Packaged water heaters is available in
both semi-instantaneous and storage configurations. Adamson
Packaged Water Heaters are shipped complete with insulation and metal jackets,
controls, traps, and piping as required Steam, boiler water or electricity
are utilized as the heating medium.

Tank |
A
pressure tank used to store a mixture of cold water and compressed air.

Tank |
A
hydro-pneumatic tank, specially adapted as a reservoir to serve private
fire protection sprinkler systems.

A
pressure tank used in hot water heating systems to maintain proper pressure-temperature-volume
relationships.

| Condensate Tank |
These
tanks, used to receive hot condensate from steam-operated equipment, are
usually constructed as ASME pressure vessels even though they are vented
to the atmosphere when in service.

Equalizes
pressure on condensate from unequal pressure condensate lines.

| Boiler Blow-Off
Tank |
A
specially designed pressure vessel used to reduce pressure and temperature
of blow-down form boilers. Adamson has standardized according to the special
requirements of the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors
pre 1991. Tanks for localities following more recent recommendations require
special design and specification.
